Book Reviews for mathematics 116The MEQ approved the following textbooks
Review: for Math In Context 7, Ebos, F. et al., Nelson Canada Limited, 1992.This work covers topics, one at a time, and one after another, with chapter grouping related topics together. It follow the instructional method that puts explanations and examples before exercises or activities to check and develop concepts and computational skills. A student who missed a week or two of class could catch up by following this textbook alone or with help. The text appears to be self-contained. I have no complaints about the English prose in this work. This 480 page work appears to be self-contained. There is a 511 page teacher guide which I have not seen. Questions: Are there are more MEQ approved texts for this course? Given the current reform, is the MEQ approval still necessary for texts used with mathematics 116? |
