These two French language tomes offer clear and nearly complete theoretical
summaries of mathematics 436 in their respective appendices. Students who
read French should see the book for the sake of its theoretical synthesis or
summary in the appendices of both tomes.
Teachers and libraries in the Quebec English school system should order
copies for their students to consult. Each book is inexpensive, less than 40
dollars each.
I hope the author and publishers will produce a English edition as well. The
MEQ or the English community in Quebec could subsidize that endeavor.
Reviews or partial reviews of other textbooks, textbooks available in French
and not in English, may follow here in spring 2007.
